Mizuno Tohko is the character designer for all the Haruka games. The manga is based on the first game, and began in 2000. The story follows the game story rather vaguely, and much more slowly as it centers around Akane's relationship with the eight hachiyou, as well as her conflicts with Akuram. Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 4 Special ChaptersFour special chapters were published in LaLa to coincide with the release of Haruka 4. All four were written and illustrated by Mizuno Tohko. The first three are prequel stories with each chapter focussing on different main characters. The fourth chapter appears to follow the game storyline.
