Kiniro no Corda (which means The Golden Chord) was developed in collaboration with LaLa magazine, published by Hakusensha. Unlike the first two series which were set in fantasy worlds, Corda is set in a school and the main character is an ordinary student. One day, she meets a fairy who gives her a magical violin which teaches her how to play. The Corda game system is more like Angelique's where most of the gameplay involves repetitive practicing of music pieces to advance.

Every three years, Seisou Academy holds a musical contest for its students. Usually, only students from the music stream of the school will be invited to join the contest, but for the first time, Kahoko, a 2nd Year student from the ordinary stream was enrolled in the contest. Kahoko must master her magic violin to pass the 3 selection rounds of the concours.
